Channels and the Gulf of Kutch, India – July 25th, 2010
This APM image shows part of the Indian state of Gujarat, near the border with Pakistan. APM (Alternate Polarization Medium resolution) images highlight topographical similarities and differences by acquiring two signals simultaneously and combining them.
Here, the Gulf of Kutch can be observed as a brown area in the lower left hand quadrant. The gulf of renowned for extreme daily tides.
The channels of several rivers and streams can be seen cutting through the terrain at the end of the gulf. One of these, the furthest to the right, is the Aji River.
