Wildfires near the coast of the states of South Carolina (above) and Georgia (below), USA, release plumes of smoke due eastward, across the shoreline and over the Atlantic Ocean.

Along the shoreline, sediments can be seen spilling forth from several rivermouths, giving bays and inlets along the coast a brown hue that gradually fades out as one moves farther offshore.
