A large fire in the Canadian province of Alberta releases a thick plume of smoke that winds have blown into the shape of the letter V. Alberta Health Services has expanded an air quality advisory to include the entire North Zone. A.H.S. says small amounts of smoke are not a problem for most people, but heavy amounts can lead to shortness of breath and irritation in the eyes and throat. People with respiratory conditions or who may have heart problems are advised to stay inside if they are experiencing symptoms.
