Thick Smoke Over China’s Eastern Seaboard

Thick smoke hangs in the air over Eastern China, up and down the coast near Shanghai, obscuring most of the land below.

The origin of the smoke is unclear, although it is most likely caused by agricultural fires burning across the North China Plain.
