Bangladesh – November 25th, 2012

Hundreds of agricultural fires in the Punjab state of northern India have been releasing large amounts of smoke over the last few weeks. Strong winds have carried the smoke over neighboring countries, such as Bangladesh, as can be seen in this image. Here, the smoke hangs over rivers in the central part of the country and blows southwards towards the Bay of Bengal.
