Smoke from Fires in China - November 5th, 2010

Smoke from fires burning in Eastern China creates a thick cloud of haze that reaches across the North China Plain to the shores of the Bohai and Yellow Seas, and all the way across the Korean Peninsula.

Slightly visible below the cloud of smoke are tan sediments from the Yellow River spilling into the Yellow Sea. Some sediments can also be observed on the western shores of South Korea.
