Pakistan and India - December 29th, 2010

Smoke, or perhaps some dust, blows off the coast of India and Pakistan. As smoke was also present in Indian skies south of the Himalayas, it is likely that here it has simply blown westward from its source fires.

Partially visible below the smoke is the Great Rann of Kutch, on the India-Pakistan border, the sediment-laden Gulf of Kutch, and theĀ Indus River Valley.
