While a mix of sediments and phytoplankton frame the Australian coastline, filling the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf (left) and the Van Diemen Gulf (top center) and spilling out into the Timor Sea, multiple wildfires can be viewed further inland. In the full image, plumes of smoke are visible blowing towards the northwest near the coast between the two aforementioned gulfs and near the coast of the Gulf of Carpentaria (right).
