Fires in Queensland, Australia, release plumes of smoke over the region. The smoke from the fires in the upper left quadrant is blowing towards the west-northwest, while those closer to the shore in the lower right quadrant are releasing smoke towards the west-southwest. One particularly large fire releasess a long plume of smoke that extends far inland.
