Fires continue to blaze in the Russian Far East, releasing a thick cloud of smoke that strong winds carry over to the coast and across the Sea of Okhotsk. In the main image, many individual plumes of smoke can be seen contributing to the cloud, while in the detail image, the ground below and origins of the fires are completely obscured by the smoky haze.
