Brazil and Paraguay – October 1st, 2012

Through a patchy, dotted veil of popcorn clouds, fires in Paraguay and Brazil release plumes of smoke that blow in a generally southeasterly direction. The fires may have been set for agricultural purposes, in order to clear land for new crops.
