Multiple wildfires create a smoke haze over western Canada. The largest fires appear to be located in the province of British Columbia, near the border with the Yukon and the tail of Alaska, USA. Their thick smoke plumes are best observed in the full image.

Visible in the upper right corner is the Great Bear Lake, in the country’s Northwest Territories. In the full image, theĀ  Mackenzie River can be observed, carrying tan sediments towards the Arctic Ocean.
