Plumes of smoke can be observed in the wetlands of the Pantanal. The fires from which the smoke originates are located south of Mandioré Lake, or Laguna Mandioré, is a lake on the border of Brazil and Bolivia. Here, the lake appears tan from sediments. It is located at an elevation of 90 m and has a surface area of 152 km².
