Many fires can be seen near the coast of Queensland, Australia. Most are clustered in the lower right quadrant, although two others can be seen near the left edge. The plume closest to the shoreline is located just south of Shoalwater Bay, a large bay on the Capricorn Coast of Central Queensland. The bay is bounded by the Torilla Peninsula to the west and the Warginburra Peninsula and Leicester and Townshend islands to the east.
