13.1S 133.4E

July 3rd, 2012 Category: Fires

Australia – June 28th, 2012

A cluster of fires can be seen in the northern part of Australia’s Northern Territory (click here for more on fires in this region). The thickest plumes of smoke are blowing towards the north. Visible to the northwest is the Van Diemen Gulf, while the Gulf of Carpentaria is visible to the east. Smoke from other fires can be seen near the right edge, south of the Gulf of Carpentaria and near the Queensland border.
