Fires in Northern California Continue to Blaze – September 6th, 201241.0N 121.9W
As the month of August came to a close, wildfires continued to burn in western USA. Here, multiple thick plumes of smoke from large fires in northern California can be observed. Near the left edge in the lower left quadrant is the Stafford Fire, in Trinity County. To its north is the Fort Complex Fire, near the Oregon border. Near the image center is the Bagley Fire, located seven miles west of Big Bend. It has burned 45,298 acres, but is now 67% contained.
