The Tocantins River flows vertically up along the left side of this image of Brazil. It is the central fluvial artery of the country, running from south to north for about 2,640 km. Much of the landscape near the river appears quite marshy.

Upon opening the full image, a fire can be seen towards the center left, just east of the Tocantins River. The plume of smoke from the fire is bright white and blowing due west.

Moving over to the right side of the image, a lengthy strip of land mostly used for agriculture can be observed. In the full image, many individual fields can be seen, with various shades of brown.
