Fire in Bolivia Blows Smoke Across Laguna de San Jorge

A fire burning in Bolivia releases a thick plume of smoke that the winds are blowing to the southeast. The plume of smoke blows over the tan-colored Laguna San Jorge.

Laguna de San Jorge or Laguna de San José is a lake in the Guarayos Province/Marbán Province, Beni Department, Bolivia. At an elevation of 160 m, its surface area is 68.6 km². Visible to its east, unaffected by the smoke, is Laguna Nuevo Mundo, a lake in the Beni Department and Santa Cruz Department, Bolivia.
