Smoke from the County Line Fire, near the Florida-Georgia border, is carried southwestward in an S-shape by air currents. The blaze has burning at least an additional 5,000 acres per day over the last several days. On Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET it was listed at 34,936 acres with 50% containment. Visible near the coast to the northeast and in the Appalachian Mountains to the north (in the full image) is smoke from multiple smaller wildfires.
