August 20th, 2012 Category: Dust Storms

Red Sea – August 18th, 2012

Dust blows off the coasts of Sudan (north) and Eritrea (south), over the Red Sea. Upon opening the full image, parallel rows of dust in rippled patterns can be seen blowing off the coast of Sudan, east of the Tokar Game Reserve. These wavelike patterns are caused by rising and falling air currents.
