Greenish sediments from the Shatt al’Arab River, created by the convergence of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers in Iraq, flow into the northern part of the Persian Gulf.

In the full image, swirled, paisley patterns can be viewed in the sediments, created by currents. In the southeastern part of the gulf, dust can be seen over the waters between Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Iran.
