In the main image, sand blows over Saudi Arabia (left) and the United Arab Emirates (right), where the cloud of dust is more dense, across the Persian Gulf, to Iran (top).

In this image, taken today, Iraq and Kuwait on the northwestern end of the Gulf are relatively clear of dust particles, while their rivers cloud the waters of the Gulf with greenish sediments.

However, in the other image, taken yesterday, sands can be observed blowing in an upwards curve across northern Saudi Arabia, affecting the skies over Iraq and Kuwait.
