Golden Sands Over the Atlantic Ocean
18.4N 18.1WA golden plume of dust spreads westward over the Atlantic Ocean, intermingled with cloud-cover. The plume blows off the coast of West Africa around the Mauritania-Senegal border, creating a yellowish veil over the mouth of the Senegal River (marking the border between the two countries) and the Bay of Arguin (in Mauritania, to the north).
