Libya – March 24th, 2013

Dust storms – occurring frequently in northern Libya since early March (click here for previous images) – continue to the country. Here, dust blows over the Gulf of Sidra, which measures 439 kilometres (273 mi) from one side to the other. The dust coming off the promontory of Ras Teyonas, on the East side,  blows northwestward, while off the promontory of Ras Kasr Hamet, on the West, it blows northeastward.
