A dust storm continues to hit the southern Arabian Peninsula, including the countries of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Oman.

Upon opening the full image, sand can be seen blowing off the southern coast of the peninsula from the Gulf of Aden (left), although it does not appear to reach across to Somalia (bottom left), to the Gulf of Oman (top right).

Dust does not appear to be blowing, on the other hand, over the Persian Gulf (top left) to Iran (top).

In the close-up image, swirling sands show the direction of air currents just off the coast of Yemen and Oman.
