Dust Plumes Off Socotra Archipelago12.4N 53.8E
Airborne dust shows interested streaked patterns as it blows off the coasts of islands in the Arabian Sea. The largest of these islands is Socotra, off of which two thicker plumes of dust blow. About 65 miles to the southwest is Abd al Kuri, which also shows two parallel dust plumes, albeit significantly thinner. Both islands are part of the Socotra Archipelago and belong to Yemen, although they are geographically closer to the Horn of Africa.
