Dust Continuing to Blow Off West Africa11.3N 18.1W
Dust hangs in the sky over the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of West Africa. It is thickest in the upper right quadrant, where a plume of dust blows southwestward off the coast of Senegal and Guinea Bissau towards the image center. The bright white area near the center is caused by sun glint off the dust and water below. This dust storm has been going on over several days (click here for previous images).
