Dust Blows off Southeastern Arabian Peninsula
Dust from the southeastern part of the Arabian Peninsula blows offshore. The countries of Saudi Arabia (left), Oman (right), the United Arab Emirates (center) and Iran (top) are included in the image.
In the main image, captured yesterday, a plume of dust seems to spread from the United Arab Emirates over the Persian Gulf (upper left quadrant). Sands are also visible blowing over Oman into the Arabian Sea (lower right quadrant) and the Gulf of Oman (upper right quadrant).
In the smaller image, taken today, sands can still be seen spreading over the Gulf of Oman from the southeastern tip of the peninsula, in Oman.
