Dust from the Sahara Desert blows off the coast of Western Sahara, between Morocco (above) and Mauritania (below). Features of note along the shoreline include the narrow peninsula on which the city of Dakhla is located (lower left quadrant) and the Bay of Arguin (visible further down the coast in the full image). Dust blowing off the coast of West Africa has been a frequent phenomenon in 2012 (click here for previous images).
