Dust Blowing Over Iraq to Persian Gulf29.9N 48.3E
This image offers another view of the dust storm hanging over the valley of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, in Iraq (click here for first post). The dust can be seen blowing southeastward, over the northern end of the Persian Gulf.
Sediments are visible in the upper part of the gulf, through the veil of dust. These come from the Shatt al’Arab, the river created by the confluence of the Tigris and the Euphrates.
