Tunisia - November 28th, 2010

Dust blows off the southeast coast of Tunisia (above left and center) and northwest coast of Libya (right), over the Mediterranean Sea.

The dust blows northeastward, creating a translucent veil over the Kerkennah Islands (above, near the eastern coast of Tunisia) and the island of Djerba (below, near the border with Libya). In the lower left quadrant, a large sand dune sea (erg) extending from Algeria into Tunisia can be observed.
