Tunisia and Libya - November 9th, 2010

Dust blows off the southeast coast of Tunisia (left) and northwest coast of Libya (right) in this image of northern Africa, creating whitish tan streaks over the Mediterranean Sea.

The dust blows northeastward, past Sicily (visible at the top). It is thickest closest to the African coast, however, between the island of Djerba (west, in Tunisia) and the coastal city of Tripoli (east, in Libya).
