Dust blows off the coast of Saudi Arabia and across the Red Sea, towards Egypt and Sudan. A dust storm has been raging over the Arbian Peninsula for several days, greatly affecting visibility (click here for previous images). Several meteorologists have characterized the mid to late March dust activity in this region as a “super sandstorm”, as its effects have been reaching as far as Southeast Asia.
