September 20th, 2012 Category: Dust Storms

China – September 3rd, 2012

The Taklamakan Desert, in China, appears partially veiled by airborne dust particles lifted by strong winds in a sand storm. Most of the airborne dust appears concentrated along the northern rim of the Tarim Basin, where it is prevented from spreading further by the tall Tian Shan Mountains.
