This image stretches from the Strait of Gibraltar, between Spain and Morocco (upper right corner), across Morocco and Western Sahara, to the Canary Islands (left, along lower edge).

Visible off the coast of Morocco, over the waters of the Atlantic, are a series of white parallel lines. These are condensation trails, or contrails, caused by clouds forming around the exhaust streams of passing aircraft.
