An algal bloom surrounds the island of Djerba (center) and the two Kerkennah Islands (top), off the eastern coast of Tunisia.

The bay south of Djerba is dark green with algae, as are the two bays along the shore of the mainland to the East.

Upon opening the full image, algae can also be observed in the Gulf of Gabes (left), particularly around the town of Skhira (green area on the central coast of the left side of the bay).
